Who we are

Trash2Treasure is a student-run sustainability organization at Northeastern University. Our mission is simple: reduce waste on campus through education and sustainability programs.

Our signature programs

Collection and Sale serve the community through a circular economy model turning “Trash” into “Treasure”.

  • Collection is an opportunity for students to drop unwanted items during move-out week in our big red bins instead of the trash.

  • Sale is an opportunity for students to shop sustainably and purchase these secondhand items at the beginning of the following semester.

  • Volunteers make our event possible! Student organizations can volunteer with us as a fundraising and community service opportunity. The profits from Sale are distributed amongst our volunteering organizations.
